Sql Vss Writer is Missing Question

Hi,

I am using Veeam Backup And Replication V9. I have a sql server. Sql Server is version 2014. Backup of SQL Server worked until last week. Now, SQL Server Backup are giving error. Error is : "SQL VSS Writer is missing: databases will be backed up in crash-consistent state". We didn't change anything on database or on backup server. What could be the problem. Could you please help me?

Hi Ismail, did you have a look at https://www.veeam.com/kb2095 and tried this already by any chance? If so please contact technical support so they can investigate this with you asap.

Vmniels, thank you for answer. I have looked https://www.veeam.com/kb2095 but I didn't process antyting because didn't change anything the sql wss writer service and database name .

Even if you didn't change anything make sure to check it since it may have crashed or failed before. If it is running fine and you keep getting the error it's best to call our support and let them help you.
