Offload Merge Processing?

If the backup target for VEB is a B&R repository, can the processing of the file merges be offloaded to B&R servers?

If not, please consider that a feature request. The use case is: I have a laptop backed up with VEB. Currently the backup target is an SMB share. The backup completes in 5 min or less, but the merge can sometimes take over an hour. It would be nice if the merge processing were offloaded so I can shut down my laptop and go at any time.

I am still running B&R 7 (don't judge!) but once I get that upgraded I plan to switch all our VEB backups to repositories.

Merge is performed by VEB when you are using repository as a backup destination. Noted as a feature request – thanks!
