Feature request - pop out last tape when new one needed

Post by mfinnigan_g »

We have a 16-slot single-drive loader (Quantum Superloader), just getting our feet wet with Veeam Tape, v9. When a big job uses all available tapes and needs new media, it doesn't appear to move the last (current) tape in the drive back into the magazine slot; it leaves it in the drive.

Hi Matt,

Try the Eject option from tape job's properties.

Hm - since it said "upon completion", I didn't assume that would apply to operations during a job. I'll apply that and see what happens during our next big run. Thanks!

Great, that appears to have done the trick. Confusingly-labeled feature, because the job is *not* done.
