FEATURE REQUEST: Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager. VM Restore

Post by slaburda »

Hi.
During VM restore from the EM console, there is no possibility to enter alternate name of the VM. Is it possible to add this option to restore VM with another name?

The main reason is that we have a backup administrators who do not have access to the VBR console, where this option is.

Thank You
Stanislav

Thanks for the feedback! Do you need to change the VM name, because the original VM might be still running?

Yes. The best is to change the name and after restore don’t start restored VM. In the right time VM administrator can shut down original VM and start restored VM.
