Can't reinstall B&R 9, database is newer

Post by guitarfish »

I'm trying to reinstall B&R on a Windows PC that had a damaged user profile. I uninstalled Veeam because I couldn't start it or repair install it. Now I'm trying to reinstall. I have v9, then Update 1. When I install v9, I am attempting to connect to my existing SQL database used by B&R, but the install is telling me it can't use the database because it was created in a newer version - I guess that means Update 1 did an update to the database.

I'd really like to get B&R installed and keep my data intact. Does anyone know how? Unfortunately my SQL experience is pretty nill, so speak slowly and don't use big words.

I have Veeam configuration backups which I run daily, if that helps.

I'm back online. I ended up reinstalling Veeam, creating a new SQL database, and restoring the Veeam config backup.

You can simply reconnect the new install to the old database, once it is fully updated (there is a configuration utility for that).
