Feature Request for a Portable version of VEB

Post by k00laid » 1 person likes this post

We often have a need to do a one off backup of a workstation prior to event X and it would be nice to be able to do so without installation, with the software and its necessary configuration presetup on a portable hard drive we send around with our help desk staff so all they have to do is double click the executable and say backup. For instance, right now we are in the process of 100+ Windows 10 updates and with our process they are taking a backup first to a VBR repo before updating incase of incompatability. It would be nice if I didn't have to hand hold help desk on all the configurations steps necessary to install.

That would be a great option or else having a bootable USB to do a full backup.

Hi Jim,

It sounds like you are missing the central management/deployment option more than ‘standalone application’ option. Am I right?
