Veeam Backup & R and Encryption

Hello and Good Day Community....

I wanted to ask a simple question in regards to Veeam B&R and encryption. I am currently very happy with my Veeam B&R performance as it pertains to backup times and restore times. I have never looked at enabling encryption for our backups, but there are some whispers from my higher ups that they want to start looking at it. For those who have already done this, did enabling encryption affect your backup times at all? If they did, by how much? And I am only looking at encryption at rest, not enabling encryption in transit, but I would appreciate feed back from those who have one one or the other (or both)

Encryption should not slow your performance noticeably. You may easily try it out with test job.
