Re: Backup DIRECT to Cloud Connect - Cloud Repository

i just tried the new 1.5 and same thing. also updated cloud server and standard backup server to 9 Update 1 and tried to connect to Endpoint to either and still see the initial connection, but then it hands the Endpoint the private IP so still no go. =( guess well have to wait for another release.

Yes, that's correct. Backup to Cloud Connect directly is not included in this release.

Is there a likely time for this feature to appear? Very interested in offering this as a service.

Well, not exactly very soon to be honest, but this year for sure - so you can count on it and start making plans.
Cannot give any technical details yet though, as one new tech we want to keep secret for competitive reasons.

Hi all

I have found this link : https://www.veeam.com/blog/backup-targe ... ained.html
On the new EndPoint Backup 1.5.0.306, If the option is not available, I did'nt understand weell why we can configure backup job with VBR server and credentials.
In addition, the TCP port 10001 is listening on my VBR with Cloud Connect option.
When I try to configure the job, the error message is "unable to establish authenticatded client-server connection" and I kown i use the well credentials (toto / qwerty) ;)

So if i understand well, enpoint backup can only backup on local storage or shared folder, that's it ?

I hope this feature will come fastely because in my case, service provider, we can sell VBR for VM servers and for free endpoint for the laptops

Have a nice day

Not exactly, you can also backup to a Veeam backup repository directly, but not to the cloud repository.

Hello Vitaly

Thanks you for your reply.
So If i could use the Veeam backup repository directly can you help me to configure credentials and how to limit the quota for the endpoint Backup.

Hi Matt,

VEB should be in the same network as VBR (VBR repository), so NAT configurations are not supported. If that’s ok, check the repository permissions are properly configured to allow VEB connections
