Backup Copy not being able to go

Post by frankj »

I have a few TB's of data on 2 main vm's others are ok.

i have them nightly m-f starting at 5pm and goign trough 6am. reverse incremental

i scheduled a backup copy minimum restore points, no GFS, at daily @ 22pm

thing is they can't work since most backup copies takes days to upload, so they always either waiting on a restore point OR when there is one, its to long to upload before next restore point comes in ..

is there a solution a part from hard drive seeding ?

Hello Frank and welcome to the community!
Seeding indeed looks like one of the best solutions.
Others are:
Give the first backup copy job proper time to copy the file. First run is Full and will take longer than next ones. So if it`s possible give it time.
Use WAN acceleration to speed up backup copy process.
Thanks!

Using extended copy interval for initial sync should work.

Since source jobs run Monday to Friday, try to make the first backup copy run on the Friday night so it will have the whole weekend to finish.
Thanks
