What does difference repository and storage. When I create replicatation job, I select "storage" and "repository" at same job. I know repository is storage that data was saved. So Why I select repository while I select job's storage location. Thanks...

Hello reha and welcome to the community!
Some people call datastores "storages", other use "storage" as repository.
In the replication job you choose target datastore for replica VM and repository to keep replica metadata.
Could you clarify what brings the confusion?

Hi;
"metadata" is confuse me. When I look metadata location I see "veeam backup and replication full backup file" I confused that point. But I think you want to tell me repository is not exact backup, it is only essential backup files, am I right ?

There is no backup in replication job by definition. It`s recommended to make backups along with replicas for full protection.
Replica metadata helps to detect blocks that have changed since the previous job run in cases when VMware CBT is not available.
