Feature request: Restore vSphere Tags *only*

Pretty straightforward request, ability to restore only the vSphere Tags back into the inventory service database for a given VM, even restore tags to a dissimilar VM. I know part of this feature already works, but that's only when restoring an entire VM. Would be nice to have the ability to put that tag metadata back into the database without doing any VM data restorations.

Did you lose the entire tag database?

No, not asking for any event that's happened, just a general request. Use case would be an instance where someone is backing up a VM with Veeam but either 1.) removes tags they shouldn't have; 2.) removed and re-added the VM to inventory thereby wiping out all tags; 3.) removed and re-added the host on which the VM was running thereby also wiping out all tags; 4.) replicating a VM to a DR site and performing a permanent failover to that site (I can't remember if tags get replicated to the remote site).
