ExaGrid to Exagrid copy job - dataflow
I'm not sure about dataflow when i would create a backup copy job from one ExaGrid appliance to another (at second site). Will the ExaGrid units send data directly from source to target? Or would you need an extra proxy component in between somewhere ?
just to confirm....
ps. Yes i know ExaGrid can perform replication, but copy jobs can be more granular.

Nope, the transfer will happen between source and target datamovers deployed at source and target repositories accordingly. In case of CIFS share, the said transfer will take place between gateways servers chosen in the repositories settings. Thanks. Will the ExaGrid units send data directly from source to target?

But there are veeam datamovers active on the exagrid appliances right? Those are not sending and receiving directly when using copy jobs?v.Eremin wrote: Nope, the transfer will happen between source and target datamovers deployed at source and target repositories accordingly.

Correct. Both datamovers will be deployed and executed directly on the said appliances. Thanks.
