How to see if storage latency control is userd / active?

Post by widmerkarl »

Hello guys!

Recently at a customer i had some timeouts when i did storage snapshot only jobs (NetApp). Not all the time but sporadically.

Today i activated the storage latency control in Veeam and used the default values.

Is it possible to see if the storage latency control is active / used in a job, so that i can see if there is actual latency when a backup / storage snapshot / whatever job in Veeam is executed?

Thanks!
Best regards,
Karl

Hi,

In backup session you should be able to see "[throttled]" next to the disk that is being backed up with the usage of latency control. If no throttling occured during the session then you won't see any additional information regarding latency control.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the hint. I saw it the last backup run. Before it wasn't active since throttling was not necessary i think, so i didn't see this.
Best regards,
Karl
