Should CBT be enabled?

I'm doing a vCheck report and I see on my vm's that are being backed up that CBT is disabled on them. Should I enable CBT or does veeam not require it? Or would enabling CBT increase backup speeds?

It`s recommended to enable CBT.
To perform incremental backup, VBR needs to know which data blocks have changed since the previous job run. For VMware VMs with hardware version 7 or later, Veeam employs VMware vSphere Changed Block Tracking (CBT).
Whenever VBR cannot leverage VMware CBT (for example, if your VMs run an earlier version of virtual hardware or CBT is disabled at the ESX host level), it fails over to Veeam’s proprietary filtering mechanism. Instead of tracking changed blocks of data, Veeam Backup & Replication filters out unchanged data blocks.
