When the Veeam backup was running it failed to remove a snapshot and I can see that Veeam01 has a FP01 drive attached it itself.
The consolidation of snapshots fails on FP01 because FP01 has attached FP01-000002.vmdk

Yes, Nikita is spot on. You can remove the attached disk from the hotadd proxy and then consolidate the snapshot. If this issue persists, then it is worth investigating why the VM virtual disk was not unmounted from the proxy.
