Snapshot removal fails

Post by hamster99 »

When the Veeam backup was running it failed to remove a snapshot and I can see that Veeam01 has a FP01 drive attached it itself.

The consolidation of snapshots fails on FP01 because FP01 has attached FP01-000002.vmdk

Hello Alister,
Are you using Virtual appliance mode?
Have you contacted technical support as required by the forums rules when asking a technical (issue related) question?
Thanks!

Yes, Nikita is spot on. You can remove the attached disk from the hotadd proxy and then consolidate the snapshot. If this issue persists, then it is worth investigating why the VM virtual disk was not unmounted from the proxy.
