Feature Request - Backup SC VMM fields as part of VM
Hi all, again!
I think all Hyper-V admins use VMM for hypervisor and VMs management. And Veeam use it too to discover Hyper-V host and clusters.
I think many of admins that use VMM use some fields of VM Properties in VMM, like description, Cloud, ownership, access and others. And I think if Veeam will backup this fields at least as read only options this help administrators in cases when VM was deleted from VMM side.
As a best offer is ability to recover this data to VMM VM object with VM Recovery.
And as one of profits from this side - you can use VMM field "Owner" to relize RBAC for EndUser VM Recovery. Assume I create VM "TestVM1" and "TestVM2" in VMM. Set owners for this VMs in VMM: "TestVM1" - "contoso\user1","TestVM2" - "contoso\user2", and after backup this users can take backups and restore his own VMs only.

I think instead of relying on forum crowd you'd better check the release notes whenever those get published (each product version, update, etc.). Typically most of the features and enhancements are mentioned there.
This way you wouldn't miss anything.
Thanks.
