Beta Linux Client Ubuntu 14.04

Post by tech nology »

Client works but maybe something you all could put on a wish list is OS aware throttling. The client installed right up, was easy enough to configure (need cifs-utils as well as mentioned deps) a smb mount and then kicked a full machine backup off... Heh, that's when it pegged the machine (4 core Xeon) and just backed up the whole shebang like I asked it too =).

Is anyone talking about when integration w/ VBRs? With some work this will be a great product.

Thanks,
robt.

We are currently planning integration with VBR as announced in this blog post.

In regards to fully utilizing the CPU cores, this might be something nice to add as well so consider it as a FR. However you could also use cgroups to limit the CPU usage from specific processes and add veeam(snap) to it :-)
