Feature Request: Additional e-mail recipients, time to send.
Please excuse me if this has been covered already.
With Version 1.50 the e-mail from within the client is available and I am thankful.
However, could you consider multiple e-mail recipients separated by comma or whatever you deem fit?
It would also be nice to separate the sending account from the recipients.
Scenario: We setup backup to notify client. Client changes e-mail account and or password. E-mail notifications do no come in. Client forgets. Backup not getting done... You can see where it goes from there.
With my custom powershell and hmail / SMTP server I can control the above, but it's extra busy-work and I do not like extra busy-work.
Also, time to send report would be nice for scheduled backups.
As always, your efforts are appreciated!

Re: Feature Request: Additional e-mail recipients, time to s
Hi Harry,
If I understand correctly, you want to be able to sent to multiple recipients. Since this is designed as a standalone solution, for now, what most people do is sent to a distribution list to get that job done.
For the timing, I'm afraid that I don't understand it completely. Are you saying you want a fixed hour when Endpoint sends a report, regardless of when the backup runs?
Mike

Hey Mike,
is it possible to name the sending mail address for the report?

Josef,
The same email is used for both ‘from address’ and ‘to address’

As a workaround you can setup email notification to you instead of client and setup a rule to forward notifications to your client. My 2 cents.

Alex,
That works. Another idea is to use a distribution list for email reports

Dima and Caballo2000,
Thank you for the input. The point is to not make an event for a simple e-mail notification. I am aware there are workarounds. I have used a mail server with a powershell script to send notification to multiple recipients before version 1.50 hit. The point is to not have to rely on workarounds.
Paid version of Veeam has support for multiple recipients so I am certain it is not an insurmountable issue.
Ultimately, it is a feature request. Do with it as you will.

Thanks Harry. By the way, if you are using VBR repository as a target for VEB jobs you can set global email notification at the VBR’s end.

[MERGED] E-Mail Notification
Hi there,
we are a small IT Company in Germany and we love Veeam Endpoint Backup.
But there are two thinks we miss. The first is to set the sender address in E-Mail Notification and the second is we can't add a second or a third recipient in the E-Mail Notification.
About this features in the next update, we would be very happy.

Hi Lukas,
Any chance, you are using VEB in conjunction with Veeam B&R?

Re: Feature Request: Additional e-mail recipients, time to s
Hi Guys
I also had a Situation last time, when i could not send Mail Alerts to a customer, because the Sender and Recipient are the same and the Office365 Exchange Server from the Client does not accept Mails from another Source using the Maildomian configured with Office365.
So i had to do a Workaround an configure an Distribution list for the customer on our (external) Mailserver an send the Mail Alert to this list, which then Forwards it to the final recipient, an Office 365 Exchange Mailbox.
It would be much easier, if Sender and Recipient could be different.
Then we could use e.g. Alarm-Backup@DummyDomain.com as Sender and the real Mail-Address of the Customer as Recipient.
That´s what we do with many other products and this works fine.
I think it should be a very easy exercise for you Veeam Guys to have a separate Sender and Recipient.
I count on you Veeam Guys. You do a great Job, also with B&R

I have this same issue and would love to request the separate Sender field be added. I use Office 365 as the relay account but want to forward the notification to a completely different distro group. Ideally would like to send off to multiple emails (looks like one destination email is supported) but that feature is not as critical. Thank you guys for considering this feature request!
