NVR and Camera 'disconnect' when Veeam performaing snapshot
Our NVR runs on an Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop LTS OS.
When Veeam is performing a backup, the cameras constantly disconnect and then reconnect and disconnect, etc...
Same goes with the NVR when i try to acces it via http://192.168.0.X:7080
More specifically, it looks like it is happening when the snapshot is being created and then when the snapshot is being removed.
Has anybody else come across this issue?

It's in the nature of VMware snapshots to stun VMs for short periods of time when creating or committing snapshots, so try to schedule backups of sensitive apps for off-hours.

Gostev - There isn't really an off hours for the CCTV!

What sort of storage is providing the datastore for your VMware environment? If it's one where we have specific integrations (NetApp/HP/EMC or soon Nimble) then Backup from Storage Snapshots may be an option to alleviate this somewhat. It won't be eliminated altogether but it can help at least with commit since the VMware snapshot would be smaller. Also if you aren't upgraded to vSphere 6.0 yet, there are some enhancements to snapshot commit there which could help.

@Joe I doubt any of that will help as we're talking about a real-time app here...
@Duncan I was thinking along the lines of using two NVRs and switching to using secondary for the duration of backup window on primary (and vice versa). Sadly, there's no good answer for time-sensitive apps when it comes to VMware snapshots.

Gostev - i dont know if that's possible to do. I'll have to do so research.
