Iscsi disks on Lefthand and how to migrate to new 3Par

Post by largechicken »

hey all,

I know its a HP question but have had no suggestions from HP forums. I do have Veeam and wondering if anyone else in the most excellent Veeam community came across my issue.

I have a few Microsoft Clusters for SQL sitting on our old Lefthand SAN using iscsi targets for the shared disks. I would like to magically migrate this data to our new 3Par and use shared VMware disks without much outage. Currently the only plan i have come up with is install Veaam Endpoint on the server and grab an copy of the server plus disks. Then restore to new 3Par and host. Inflate the disks to Thick and configure for shared disks. I have tested my process but its extremely slow with at least a 10 hour outage. Most time lost in the inflate process to thick Eager Zero.

Any ideas or suggestions would be most awesome.

Thanks
