Changing IP Address of ESX hosts

Post by djmc »

Hi,

If I change the IP address of my ESX host will this break my replication jobs?

I am building our DR server in our production site and want to seed the replication then move the servers and storage to the DR site. The IP address range is different in the two sites so when we move I will have to change addresses.
Will this break my replication jobs and will I have to replicate all my data again?

Thanks
J

Assuming that all hosts are added via FQDN to the backup console, changing host IP addresses shouldn't break your replication jobs.

If those hosts are added under IP addresses, then, utilize this script. Thanks.
