Post by jamerson »

Hi guys,
we have one windows 10 using a specifique software.
after a windows 10 updates to 1607 build we got the bellow error in the daily report

Code: Select all

Virtual disk configuration change detected, resetting CBT failed Details: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 192.168.2.26:443
is this CBT error ? do i have to reset the CBT on the ESXI ?

Hi,
192.168.2.26:443
Which machine does this IP belong to?

Also please elaborate on what's the specific software that you use? Windows 10 - is it a VM included into a backup job?

Thanks

Veeam backup should automatically reset CBT data if it detects virtual disk change (shrink/increase). Does a job retry work for this VM?

Thank you Vitaliy,
the VM is Win 10 and is included on the back, lately I had extended the disk .
yes the job is selected to retry for this VM.
VEEAM Version is 9 with the latest patch.
I just rebooted the VM 10 and hopefully the next update will goes fine.

Ok, also if you're replicating VM which virtual disk has been resized, please expect this behavior > VM disk size changed since last sync, deleting all restore

High compression level should provide you with additional 10% compression ratio over the Optimal level, but it will require about 10x higher CPU resources.
