Dear ..,
Where planning to us VEB for our last physical servers but I read that VEB will install Microsoft SQL Server 2012 with it, what will the installation do when there is already MS SQL installed? And what are your experience with backuping MS SQL databases( no locks etc.)
Best regards,
WGR

Re: Veeam Endpoint Backup and MS SQL 2014
Hello,
Different SQL Server instances can co-exist on the same machine, so I do not expect any issues with this deployment.
Thank you!

Re: Veeam Endpoint Backup and MS SQL 2014
My two cents - Veeam Endpoint Backup uses SQL 2012 LocalDB not SQL 2012 Server. Local DB does not create any database services, its processes start and stop automatically when needed, and it is very lightweight.
Thanks
