Active restore operation failing backup

Post by morciod »

I am attempting to delete an old backup job and its data. When I try to remove I receive a message " unable to delete the selected backup because of active restore operation involving this backup'
There are no restore operations active. I have tried stopping and restarting services, short of rebooting server I am at a loss as to how to clear. The old backup is causing a space problem for my active backup job

Try initiating a file level restore process again, and then just close the Backup Browser window after it appears. On doing this you should be able to remove unneeded backup files. If it doesn't help, please contact our support team directly for assistance.

I started a restore and allowed it to complete... the delete still fails. The system thinks there is an active restore operation... any other ideas?
