Hi,

No, it's not supported. Installation on Windows 2016 will be supported in v9.5.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, however I just installed a new backup server with Windows Server 2016.
This needs to be in production asap, preferably this week.

So let me rephrase the question, will VBR 9.0 work on WS 2016?
If not, is it possible for me to get the RTM version of VBR 9.5?

Terms "working" and "supported" are not interchangeable. It can work on Windows 2016, however we cannot guarantee that there will be no issues and help you out if any. So answering your rephrased question - it may work.

Please contact your local sales representative for that.

Thanks

Thanks for the straight answer.
I don't have a sale representative, so who do I contact?

Just my 2 cents: there is no Veeam B&R RTM code available yet (cannot get it right now), so I would strongly recommend to wait till the GA date.

I understand, and if I had more time I'd do so.
But the environment is up & running and waiting for 9.5 is like waiting for Murphy to kick in and take it all away :(
The safe thing to do is reinstall it with 2012 R2, but that doesn't seem like the way to go when I know 9.5 is released soon full of ReFS goodness.

The difference between RTM and GA dates will not be huge (around 2 weeks), so maybe it would be possible to use 9.0 (in unsupported mode) till 9.5 comes out.
