I have a question about restoring DFSr Data to another server. Should I use the FLR appliance (like I did in v4) or can I just do a file level restore to the target server? I know some legacy applications (Backup Exec) treat DFSr like a different file system (essentially it is).
Any thoughts?

Hi Joe,
You may continue using Multi-OS Restore Wizard (FLR Appliance) to restore DFSR-Data, though it should work with built-in restore engine as well.
Thanks!

Re: Restore DFSr Data to a different server
Joe, my understand DFS-R is backed by regular CIFS share, which is in turn backed by regular folder on NTFS volume, so either approach should work fine. Just be sure to pick VM that hosts said folder.
