AD User Restore
I would like to restore an older AD user account but NOT overwrite the existing one. I'm trying to look at the permissions of the older version of the account.
With Veeam, can I restore an older version of that account to somewhere that won't effect the existing version?

Re: AD User Restore
There are some possibilities.
First: Is there a reason why you want to restore but not want to overwrite? If the reason is to check the differences, then you can do that straight from the Veeam explorer for AD solution.
Two: What I do in that situation is export it to a file (which will be in LFD format and then make some modifications to it (LDF can be opened with notepad) and then use LDIFDE to import it to somewhere else (but be aware, only changing something small won't fix it... There is an object ID that needs to be taken into account!)
Thanks
Mike

Re: AD User Restore
I only need to check the differences, so I will look at the Veeam Explorer for AD.
Thanks!

Re: AD User Restore
Worked like a champ!
I was able to find the information I was looking for...didn't even know that the feature was there, but it was very helpful.
Thanks again.
