Veeam backup VM with iSCSI based drive

Lets say I have a windows VM, and this VM has an iSCSI disc. Can Veeam still back it up?

I'm assuming it will revert to Network transport mode to complete the task. Would I be able to do DirectSAN if this same iSCSI disc was visible to the Veeam sevrer much like a VMware based iSCSI datastore?

Veeam only can backup virtual disks vSphere (or HyperV), iSCSI disks connected to the VM or within the OS arent supported and will be ignored by Veeam B&R.
