Differences in numbers reported VBEM, VeeamOne and vSphere

Post by DeadEyedJacks »

Hi folks
We need some clarity around the numbers reported in different interfaces and why they differ.

Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager dashboard
VMs 760!, 749 VMs in 161 Jobs

Veeam One Backup and Replication dashboard
105 Jobs, 419 protected VMs. 399 backed up VMs, success 90%

Veeam Backup and Replication Summary within vSphere Web client
Successful VM Backups 432, warnings 2, failed 14 = total 448 96% success
118 Jobs

Veeam One
Reports 678 VMs seen / 631 licensed

Why are the numbers in VBEM so high and differ from other interfaces?
What's the distinction between protected and backed up VMs in Veeam One dashboard?
Why does vSphere show more successful backups and more jobs than VeeamOne ?

Need to be able to explain the differences to client.
Thanks

Hi,
What's the distinction between protected and backed up VMs in Veeam One dashboard?
A VM is considered to be Protected if there is at least one valid backup or replica restore point that meets the designated RPO for it.

Regarding the numbers mismatch - a deeper investigation might be required so please contact support team directly and post your case ID in this thread.

Thanks
