Is there a way to stop Veeam from starting new jobs?

Post by jrvision »

my jobs run 24/7
i need a way that i can stop jobs from starting, but let the ones already running complete.

this is for performing upgrades and general server maintenance?

also is it possible to take a proxy server or WAN accelerator temporarily out of the mix?
same thing here. want to let the jobs already running finish, but not assign this resource to new jobs?

The easiest coming to my mind is sorting the jobs by their status, selecting the ones that are currently stopped, and disabling them. This will prevent them from being started.

I guess if you just right-click the required proxy and disable it, new tasks will not be assigned to it anymore, while running jobs will complete fine. It's not the same for WAN accelerators, you will have to edit the job to prevent it from using the one that needs maintenance.
