Vsphere Upgrade 4.0 to 4.1

Post by peanutp »

Hello,

I a have just installed Veeam Backup and Replication V5 Enterprise and am getting to grips with the settings etc... One small question before we go ahead and use in production; we currently use Vshpere 4.0 and plan to upgrade over the next couple of months. When we upgrade to Vsphere 4.1 will the replicated VM's at our DR site be affected in any way? Will they need to be started from scratch, or will Veeam be totally unaffected by this upgrade to Vshpere nodes/vcentre etc..? We have many GB's of data to be replicated and I obviously want to avoid having to start again. If it does affect it, then I'll have to bring forward the upgrade.

Any advice grealty appreciated.

thanks

Hi Peter, if you do simple in-place vSphere upgrade, then nothing will be affected on Veeam side. Thanks!
