1 Server System ?

Hello,

We have a small Business, a Tape Backup Solution is required and desired by the CEO.

It would be one Server with ah Tape Streamer.
This one Server would be the Hyper-V Host ( for 2 VM's ) and it should run Veeam B&R Enterprise.

1 Server Running Hyper V Role and Veeam B&R built in Tape Library not Domain joined
-- 1 VM for AD
-- 1 VM for FIle- Print- and Application Server

Hyper-V Host with Veeam Writes Backup to Disk, after that writes the Backup to Tape as Synthetic Full

Is this possible ? We do not have Space or Money vor a Second Dedicated Backup Server.

Hello,
Yes, the described configuration is possible. How often do you want to backup the VMs?
Since you are going to produce on-host backups, I would recommend to run backup jobs in during the least-loaded hours.

Nightly backups should work fine.
