Selecting compression?

Post by S.A »

Hey,
3 questions.

1- How do I choose the degree of "compression" in Endpoint?
2- How can you set up a schedule once a week (Sunday) will be a full backup, and all the rest of the week will be incremental?
3- there a way to delete old backups by size and by time?
for example:
The backup will be up to 7TB?
My drive is 8 TB, "time" is something unexpected, will now back up to 1TB, and 950GB tomorrow, how software will face if this change by time?

Thank you!!

Hi

1. It's not possible, there's only one default compression level.
2. It's not possible, we do forever-incremental backup.
3. No, retention is only by point count.

Thanks!

If I set a 21-day backup, what happens after 21 days? She does a full backup? Or deletes the first closing after a full backup and creates a "Incrementa"?

S.A.

The first thing that will happen is that an incremental will be taken. Then the full backup (oldest) will be merged with the oldest incremental. So you still have a full backup, and the number of incrementals.

Cheers
