Error Installing Search Feature (Service will not start)
We have configured a hardware server to host our Veeam services.
We have ran a backup using SAN mode and also Network mode, all is good there.
We have installed Microsoft search 2008 express, and are now trying to install Veeam Backup Search application. Part way through the install we get an error..
"Error 1920.Service Veeam Backup Search Server Integration Service failed to start. Verify you have sufficient rights to start system services."
When trying to start the Veeam Search service direct from the Administration Console we get..
"The service started then stopped. Some services stop if they are not in use by another services or programs."
I have verified that the service crudentilas are correct. This same account starts other Veeam related services on the server.
The server is Windows 2008 R2 (x64) - Fresh install.
8GB Ram
4 Physical CPU x 2 Cores per.
All Veeam services, inclluding the Microsoft search service use a seperate SQL server for thier DB.

Re: Error Installing Search Feature (Service will not start)
No problems, but please note that we do ask (in the same place) to provide support case number if you decide to post about technical issue on this forum. Many people never come back to update their topics with resolution once the issue is resolved, so when future readers having similar issue find the topic through forum search, there is no resolution, and we cannot find resolution easily either without having support case ID. Thank you!

Re: Error Installing Search Feature (Service will not start)
This issue was solved be removing the Microsot Search Server Express 2008 and then re-installing and reconfiguring it.
The software is now installed.
The software is now installed.
