9.5 upgrade fails on exchange instant recovery component

Post by skate88 »

hi

i installed veeam office 365 beta a few weeks back and also the exchange instant recovery msi that came with it
obivously i install this on the same server as veeam 9.0

the 9.5 installer fails on the exchange plugin component when it detects this other version of exchange instant recovery.
interestingly there is no object in add remove programs for the instant revcovery component
i ran the office365 ,exchange msi again and it gives the remove option

i was then able to install the exchange plugin from the plugins folder on the 9.5 install media

i didnt see this documented anwywhere, apologies if i missed it

That's the reason why everything went wrong. That's why we explicitly state that is unsupported to run both products on the same machine. Thanks.

sorry, my fault for not reading the instructions properly.

once it is out of beat will it be possible to run it on the same server , or will it always be like this?
I cant justify another backup server , just for backing up office365....

This appears to be a temporarily limitation. But as always more details on system requirements will be available closer to release. Thanks.
