Credibility of data deduplication feature

Hi

Our prospect customer have question about credibility of deduplication feature.
Veeam have data deduplication feature.

They want to know information that credibility of deduplication feature.
Do you have a document about it ?
For example, they want to know about the possibility of deduplication failure (data loss) and mechanism to prevent failure.

Hi Toshihiro,
I`m not sure if there is an official document with approval, but deduplication is a pretty solid feature.
There is a checksum that verifies data integrity during every job run to avoid mistakes. You can also leverage recoverability verification to make sure backups are ready to restore with no issues.
By the way, if your customer has deduplication appliance, it`s recommended to disable inline deduplication.
