Veeamzip retention not working

Post by itteam »

Hi All

a newbie here to veeam.
I am having an issue where the retention policy on the powershell script is not working correctly. I am using the script from the veeam blog as shown https://www.veeam.com/blog/veeam-backup ... shell.html

1. The retention did work correctly when I had version 9.0 installed, and has stopped working in version 9.5 from what I noticed.
2. I have set my retention as "TomorrowNight" however during the delete process it deletes the previous one and only ever keeps one copy of the zip file. I have tried to set this to In3days but I still only get one copy as the old ones are always removed.

Verison used is the free version.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The behaviour you expect is a unclear to me. Could you elaborate a bit?

The old restore points should be deleted, as soon as retention is reached: be it tomorrow night or three days from current moment. Is this not the case in your environment?

Thanks.

I've thought that as well. Given the popularity of the script, if retention didn't work, I would have got numerous reports already. :)

Anyway, glad to hear that you're up and running now.
