Veeam Agent for zLinux

Post by ivan_cecoel »

Hello, we have and infraestucture with IBM Mainfram and zLinux with SLES 11 SP1.
The architecture from zLinux are a bit different that x86 and x64. Is possible to install this agent in a zLinux.
Maybe compiling the source code? This agent can help me a lot.

Thank you so much.

Hi,

I really doubt that Veeam Agent for linux kernel module can be successfully compiled on your system without tweaking, not to mention that the remaining part has been written for x86 architecture.

P.S. Please check your PM.

Thanks

Hello, we are also very interested in having an agent for zLinux. Are there any plans for this to be developed?

Thank you.

Hello. Next upcoming releases will not have Mainframe or iSeries support.
