Agent and Copy Job

Post by neilmurphy65 »

Hi All.

Is it possible to use the Linux agent (or the Windows Agent when it goes GA) to backup to a VBR repository and then configure a copy job to copy the backup files to a secondary location (disk or tape)?

Cheers,
Neil.

Hi,

Yes, it is possible, however you cannot mix VM and Agent backups within the same BCJ.

Thank you

Thanks for that. Does this also count for Endpoint?

Yes, you cannot place Windows and Linux backups in the same BCJ either.

Sorry, I meant is it possible to configure a BCJ for and Endpoint backup targeted to a VBR repository? I'm specifically interested in Windows agents.

Sorry to be a stickler but I have a partner who is looking to do this on a customer site and since the Windows Agent is still in Beta he needs to know if he can use Endpoint as a stopgap.

Yes, it is possible since Endpoint 1.5. Windows Agent job can be used as a source for BCJ as well.
