SharePoint 2013 full site restore

Post by stewsie »

I am interested in hearing how people are using Veeam v9.5 to restore SharePoint 2013 sites. I ran a test site restore yesterday and the SharePoint administrator told me that the site has not fully restored. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... oringSites has information on items that may not be restored.

Any ideas how I can restore a site and all items using Veeam? The Sharepoint team used to use Avepoint and that was able to do a full site restore along with all items.

Restore the database (SQL restore), attach it to the SharePoint system. This is how we did migrations in the past.

Yes, if you are restoring the site back to the original server, you can stop the SharePoint service and replace the database with Veeam Explorer for SQL Server. Another workaround is mentioned here.
