Hi Kristian, do you mean the services are not stopped automatically in your case? Since they are supposed to be stopped during the upgrade, as far as I can recall.

Is maybe a job like Backup Copy Job still running while you try to upgrade?

Re: feature request veeam upgrade
All Veeam-specific services should be stopped automatically during update, the fact that this does not happen in your case looks unexpected.
The only component that does not get stopped in automatic fashion is Windows PowerShell, so, before update you need to stop manually all PS instances if any are present.
Thanks.

Re: feature request veeam upgrade
I've seen the following running jobs all need to be stopped (but I've not had to stop actual services).
- Backup copy jobs
- Backup to tape jobs
- Backup jobs with SQL transaction log backups enabled
Temporarily disabling all three of those types of jobs normally allows me to proceed with updates/upgrades.
