Feature Request Remote MS SQL Blob Store support in agent

A SharePoint database with a remote Blob Store for files on a physical server can not be backed up with the Veeam Windows Agent.

This is already supported on a virtualized system.

Hi Bernd,

VEB cannot backup remote server or it’s data, so this configuration is, indeed, not supported. Can you clarify how your blob storage is setup? Is it possible to install VEB on that particular machine? Thanks.

Was meant not veeam endpoint backup but the new Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows Server Version.
The agent is installed on the physical MS SQL Server. The Remote Blob Stor is also accessible via this.

Veeam Agent for Windows is the new name for Veeam Endpoint Backup . So it might be interesting to still try what Dima proposed

The information that this does not go with the agent comes from Veeam Support.
In order to achieve this feature is included in the RoadMap, I should set up a feature request in the forum

What type of blob storage are you using? If that’s a part of windows server setup you can back it up separately by installing the instance of VEB on top of this Windows Server.
