Windows 2008 R2 fail on power on "Caricamento file in corso"

Hi to all,

I'm trying to replicate the first time a Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine a 64 bit (ESXI 4.0.0 Build 171294) to another ESXI same version (called "repliche") with my Veeam Backup and Fast SCP version 4.1.1.
The three server are in the LAN network connected throught a switch.

I can complete correctly the first copy of this virtual machine (Windows 2008 R2) into the same machine that I use for Veeam. At this time the virtual machine on the first ESXi is power down.
After, I have correctly uploaded the folder into the datastore on the new ESXi (called "repliche").

After this I change the job in Veeam in order to complete the first veem replication jobs. I complete it with success result and when I log in into the ESXi called repliche I can see this new Virtual macchine (Win2k8-R2-x64_replica).

Now, if I try to power on this virtual machine on the new host it start with a black screen and a progress bar with "Caricamento file in corso" (Upload file...) as it try to reinstall the system. When the progress bar complete the system will be rebooted in looping...

If I see the settings on this virtual machine the CD ROM use the type: Host Device.
What I wrong and how can I complete the first replica correctly ?

Obviously in the first ESXi the windows 2008 R2 works correctly and into the ESXi called "repliche" I have another Virtual machine (Linux Fedora) that works correctly.

Leonardo, I have not seen this error before, but as always I would recommend upgrading the product to the latest version, as 4.1.1 is about 1 year old release. Once you have upgraded, try creating the new replication job and running it again. Thanks!

I have tried to download the latest version of veem; I have installed in another phisical machine. I complete the configuration but when I launch the first replica I obtain this result:

I have tried to use a local unit with 73,8 GB of free space and also an external hard disk with 174 GB of free space.
What I wrong ?

Something is wrong overall with this machine since I see you started the job in 1935 and it was running for 22 years

I don't know why but I have recreated the replica and now it seems to work...actually 1%.

Leo, what's your ticket number? Have you searched for this error on Microsoft's site? Do you have any errors in the source VM Event log?

sorry for the later reply...What's the ticket number ? I dont' have found nothing into Microsoft's website ;(
Into Events tab I can't see anything...

Actually I'm trying to copy the all file from the source datastore to a folder and then I'm trying to reupload the Virtual Machine (40 GB) to a replica datastore. Just 216 minutes and i can update this ticket...

When you open a support case with Veeam support, you get support ticket number emailed to you automatically.

At the moment I don't have opened any support case...
I have just now completed the copy to the other datastore but When I add thi virtual machine to the inventory and then I play it, I select "I_copied it" but I obtain the same result...infinite looping after "Caricamento dei file in corso..."

What I can do to solve it ?

I have found the mistake!

In the replica machine the paravirtualization it will be switched off.

I have enabled it via BIOS and then the virtual machine works fine.
