Backup issues after Upgrade vSphere

Hi all,

i have some Problems performing Backup in my TestLAB:

Licensed Veeam 8
Licensed vSphere 6.5

Code: Select all

:: Error: Failed to open VDDK disk [[datastore] XXXX/2_XXXXXXXXXXX_3-000004.vmdk] ( is read-only mode - [true] )
Failed to open virtual disk
Logon attempt with parameters [VC/ESX: [XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX];Port: 443;Login: [*****loginCredentials****];VMX Spec: [moref=vm-18];Snapshot mor: [snapshot-33];Transports: [nbd];Read Only: [true]] failed because of the following errors:
Failed to open disk for read.
Failed to upload disk.
Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}.

Hi foggy,

ok is good to check release notes prior testing :-)

When i check this VMware ESXi 6.0 U2 is also not Supportet?

Provided you have Veeam B&R v8 Update 3 installed, vSphere 6.0 should be supported with any patch level, most likely vSphere 6.0 Update 2 wasn't just released at the time the release notes were published.
