Hi.
i have at least 10 veeam endpoint installations in our company and we had very often the error that backup can not procceed because a certain vbk file does not exist.
I'm 100% sure that nobody can delete or rename this file except me as admin.
Whats the reason that veeam agent wants to merge with a file that does not exist anymore in the repository?
By the way with the new Agent for Windows Beta the same issue appeared to day after 12 flawless backups.

Re: Files does not exist errors
Hi Simon,
Since you state 12 flawless backups (once a day?) I am going to assume that you have a retention period of that number.
What happens is, the first backup is a VBK, and then the others are always incremental (VIB). But when the retention period is over, we need to merge the VBK with the oldest VIB. I think it is in that process that things go wrong.
Is the VBK available at the backup location?
Mike
