Veeam Cloud Backup - Can we do a local to disk copy aswell?

Post by chrisbish92 »

I'm evaluating Veeam Cloud to replace our Ahsay Cloud backup we use for clients.
Quite impressed so far with it.

I'm testing with the BETA client which seems to connect (the previous one wouldn't work at all). But I can't seem to find the option to scheduled 2 jobs or do a local backup to disk and then the cloud/offsite backup.

Is this possible?

It is possible only if you target your local backup job to the Veeam backup repository, and then configure a backup copy job in the B&R server to send these backups to the offsite location. Thanks!

Thanks a shame, most of our clients are on physical environments.
A full version of B&R would be over kill for them I think.

AFAIK, it will be possible to use free version of Veeam B&R to set up the backup copy process (given that you have a paid license key for VAW), so I guess it shouldn't be an issue in your scenario?
