Endpoint for windows is prompting logged in users for backups in addition to running manually?

the veeam agent tray is popping up for all logged in users on the physical terminal server is it possible to block the exe and have it run for just the admin account - it is asking them to login

Thanks! Generally, VAW is designed for ‘per machine installation’, but if it was configured under admin account you should not get any popups. What prompt you users are getting and when it appears?

maxse,

Users are prompted for credentials when backup job kicks in or when they try to access control panel/ restore wizards. Thanks.

Hi SMAC,

Just checked with QA folks. This is unexpected behavior, so kindly open a support case and share the case ID.

I just opened a case and they said it was a known issue with VAW - I guess we need to disable auto-run for now until the next fix.

Reviving this post from the dead.....
Is there a way to prevent the "Veeam Agent Tray" from showing up for RDP users or certain groups? It would be nice to just not feed a users curiosity!

No it's not possible for standalone agent installation (unless you add some script to Windows Task Scheduler to kill Veeam Tray process when user logs in).
