SAN IO

Post by lukejf »

Hey Guys
We are about to move from DAS to SAN. We have done a veeam one datastore performance chart listing the IO of our current storage. I guess im just inquiring of the accuracy of these reports and if these numbers are suitable to send to storage vendors so we can ensure we have the best fit solution
Cheers

Hi Luke,

I assume you are using the Disk IO Chart (for VMware)? Because these numbers are based on the datastore performance.

It is an accurate report (we receive the numbers from the VMware environment) but it might not be an accurate number of your DAS in total. If there are any other loads on that DAS, you might not see the total IO that your DAS is doing in that report.
