About the Database in VBR Server

Post by dcampregher »

Hi,

If i send my backup to a VBR Repository, what is the impact in the database increase ? Anyway, the doubt is if the VAW write one registry for each file or not.

The VBR Database .It write one registry for each file read from de Filesystem Job from VAW ?

My headache is relating the growing of the Local Datadase of the VBR in case that i use many VAW backing up dozen of milion files.

Diogo,

I'm afraid we are still not really understanding the question but let me try.

You are using multiple VAW installations (on different computers and servers) and those backups are centrally stored on a Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) repository. Correct? And you want to know what the additional information load is going to be for the SQL server that is used for VBR. Correct?

There will be more information in that database (although I do not know exactly what information is being written away to be honest. Job name, amount of restore points and so on but...)

What is in the backup itself is not being stored there so the amount of additional information over there is limited

OK.

My worries are that if informations about the contente of the VAW ( end user files, like the traditional backup vendors ) are writen in the database.

So i believe not.

Thanks.
