Backup of 2003/SL2000 ends with "RPC function call failed"

Hi,

I've finally managed to convert my last physical windows machine to my vSphere Cluster. Needless to say this machine does not backup without a warning All the other machines are backing up without errors. The SQL does not hold the vCenter or B&R database, it's just the ERP's backend (which is not under load during backup times). No further errors appear in the eventlos (no agent crashes, no vss errors, no nothing). I've also checked and tested the credentials (and vss) for this machine twice; everything went fine. What am I doing wrong?

- vSpehre 4.1.0.260247 (2 Hosts)
- Veeam B&R 5.0.0.179 x64 (Network backup through vCenter)
- Backup target: Windows 7 x64
- Backup source: Windows Server 2003 SP2 with SQL 2000

Hello Björn,

This is a known issue, and there is a thread related to it: VeeamGuestAgent crashes
The fix is included in 5.0.1 update which will be available today. Please try it and let us know whether it helps you. Thanks!

Ah, ok - I 've read about that in this Thread, but I thought the crash would appear in my eventlogs too (which is not the case)
I will give the Update a try
